Wonderful things you find.....What Sir is a coin weight with an orb ...I know I am the only one reading this forum who doesn't know..but hey, I have lived a shelterd life in Ohio.We do not find many of those little beauties on the shores of Lake Erie....come to think of it, we do not find many of anything old on Lake Erie in this area..If I hit late 1800's it's a almost miracle.....Sometimes maybe a "1835" Large Cent and that is a miracle. You find great items and thank you for sharring them with us.Does most of the old items you show us come from the same fields. One more question if you do not mind. How deep are 1700
items in inches?, and,. Do they get turned up yearly or are they in untouched ground. It must be a thrill for you on each detecting trip.
