Bringing this up...........C----R................my project

Lets just say Tesoro made a blunder with the Caz.
Some folks said I should try and build what it should have been.
Well, needed a new project after building my PI's. Decided to give a analog VLF a shot.
Small Tesoro size circuit board, has features you guys want....................
This is my winter project, whether I am successful or not time will tell. No guarantees.
But, by posting here, it forces a commitment to git'er done....

Had the circuit boards made up and just ordered the tiny parts, its a good start.

Wish me luck

Sounds like a very interesting project me old mate and if anyone can do it you can, especially after all the success of the Mirage PI project.

So basically you are going about it the right way designing a detector with features that folks want and will use,'then' you could ask folks too 'suggest' a name, rather than the other way round  then we will end up with a real life detector rather than a myth, how genius is that :)

Megadon 1x........................ Do you need a Mega coil?
Rick your a hoot!

well done Sven and all the wishes are heading your way, just a foot note I am never going to catch up am I :buds:

keep us updated !!

Sven, whats the game plan for the specification of the new VLF machine ?? is it based on a existing model or pcb but with your own twist and maybe a few extras as well,or is it all still in the planning stage at the moment, its nice actually to see some one like yourself who has not only detecting experience but also who has made made a successful working range of detector as in your Mirage projects which i must say have been very high quality machines.

Keep us in the loop on how this exciting project evolves

I hope it all goes well....it's a project very few detectorists would/could undertake. I'm sure it will keep you busy during the winter months. If you need someone to test it in foreign lands, let me know :smoke:

I sure hope you make this a dual frequency lol.

Looking at that option 8 and 18 using a dual frequency coil, think I can get a prebuilt one that will work.
Worst case you will need two coils.

Alright Sven! Bet yours will probably be operational before Tesoros is. Even starting years after they announced their new one and your not even a metal detector design/manufacturing company. Do keep us informed of it's progress also and not drop out of the forum without a word. Good for you and the best of luck. Maybe the Tesoro boy there will follow your example. But, I doubt it. One man will design and build a detector as a winter hobby project, outshine what his whole company has taken years to do, and still has not produced. Way to go man.

Oh my. Im drooling already. this should be sweet. Dual frequency that will compete with the cz,20/21 Waterproof case?

If you build it. Tesoro will come forth .(Rusty) and say hey . We need to start production on this and you my friend will walk yourself to the Bnk with a big fat payday$$$$. I seriously hope thats the case . Does this unit have a name yet? Or are you sticking with the one everyone has been waiting on? CAZZZ.

Just dawned on my about the TROY SHADOW guy.. with his Shadow units.

Now Im thinking what about forgetting the cazador name entirely and going with the all new. Dual frequency (SVEN) . :yikes:

Parts are on the way, keeping my fingers crossed, it works.

I hope it gives milk too... KEN

Necessity is the mother of invention. I hope it goes well for you.

It's a winter project, can't start until I have all the parts, could be another 30 days.
