Remember Fred it won't find them if they are not there. I have a field across the street from my house. When ever I have a little time I hunt there. The last time I got zero coins. I tried the 10" and picked up another 10 coins in about a third of the field. I won't find any old coins because the field was scraped during development around 1975. I will say I'm not finding any less then 6" deep. I got those already. Rob
