Braved the Texas Heat for a couple hours

Cabin Fever got to me and I got out for a couple hours today.
Just traded for a Vaquero and was itching to give it a try.
I mounted the rare small 3.5"X6" coil I got with it and headed for one of my old spots.
Managed a crusty 1899 V Nickle along with some bulletts and a few other assorted things. Not a banner day but it felt good to get out after a hiatis due to extreme Texas Summer.
I have probally dug 10 V nickles from this spot over the years.
When I dig an 1899 coin its special, Thats the year of my Grandfathers birth
I like the Vaquero and the small elliptical coil, I knew when I was digging a nail but site has been hammered and dug a few iffy signals

Cool finds! Ive never held a V nickel , much less found one underground.

LOL It is a deep machine and I will get another one someday I suspect but for now I will just keep on with the Banditio going to get me one of those 10X12 coils for it I think! Anyway Glad you got out because I know how the Texas Heat is and man its going to be hot next week so keep plenty of water on hand if yu go out Jerry

Hey Barry
Yes, I like the way the Vaquero preformed at this spot. It's been worked pretty hard and to find that many non-ferrous targets was a pleasant surprise.
It was a pleasure trading with you and we both got some good tesoros out of the deal.
You will be happy to know the Cutlass II has a brand new Armcuff & pad thanks to the great people at Tesoro Electronics. Greatest service in the industry bar none.

Texas heat is brutal but October is around the corner and we can hunt all winter and spring,
Hope you have a great season and hope you find lots of good Texas coins & Relics.

HH, Jerry
