Brass nozzle??

I found this brass "nozzle" the other day and we don't know what it is. I kind of think it might me some sort of a nozzle since it necks down to a small opening but the other end baffles me. It kind of reminds me of the old style oil can openers where you would push it into a metal can and pour out the oil. But i don't think that's what this is. the fluted end is fairly sharp. it is 2 1/2" long and the opening is about 7/8".

thanks

It could be some kind of leather punch seeing the large side is sharp . The smaller hole might be where another tool could push out the leather slug ... just a guess . Woodstock

Woodstock... I did think of a punch but the small end didn't look like it was ever pounded on... thanks for the input

n/t

You're right , now that I look at it intensely it might have been a nozzle with a part that had a ball with a hole it somehow was attached to and the large end could rotate so the nozzle on the small end could be directed to a position where it could be used effectively ... maybe a gas or tourch valve ? what do ya think ? Woodstock

Fire Extinguisher nozzle 1920's or 30's is what it looks like to me lots of styles of them if you google it. Many very close to that one. HH Dave
