Brass dog & a Scots soldier ... I think

mot in victoria

New member
This neat doggie bottle opener, was a beach find 2-3 years back. During my misspent youth, my salad days, we called any bottle opener, a church key ..... no one ever had any idea why ! This guy is solid brass and likely weighs around 5 oz. , more or less. I have never seen one before, maybe collectable even. Anyone seen or have one ?

The lead soldier is from a local salt beach, wounded, lost a leg, still full of fight ! A typical Highlander, he is running to the battle ! I have found 2 others lately, but they were casualties, fatal actually ! This fellow appears to be wearing a kilt, with the sporran out front. I can't make out his hair do or is it his bonnet ..... ?

There is some letters and/or numbers on base underside but I can't quite make them out.

Oooops ! Having trouble re-sizing stuff tonight; wiener dog to come tomorrow I guess.
