Brass AC DC indicator

I don't know, but I have 2 different welding machines, one is a Lincoln crackerbox, as the real welders call it and it is an AC/DC type machine. the amp markings on the plate look almost exactly like the ones on your find.

Its interesting that the "100" setting is on the left . . . normally when we turn something up, we think of turning it to the right. What's up with that? :shrug:
