Times are hard and I have just purchased a Classic III with a Mr.Bill's Mod's and a 6000 Pro XL together for a fraction of their cost...I have been a Minelab user since day one and never thought of buying another brand until this deal came along..My question is,the Classic came with a Ferrit 5.5 coil only and this machine will be used for [trash] sites only..Is the Ferrit coil a coil of choice or should I purchase another.....

You have two of my all-time favorite detectors! :twodetecting:

You can actually get a little better depth if you sweep it at a moderate-to-fast sweep, but it doesn't have to be all that fast. With the Signal Balance control set as high as tolerable and just at the point of instability (noted by a twitchy display needle), and with a smaller coil (6
