I haven't been a member of this forum long myself and am first to admit I'm a reader and not a poster, that being said this is not a really active forum so just be patient and someone knowledgeable will get back to you. I personally have a land star and probably only have about 40 hours on it but have found allot of stuff. Most places I hunt get hunted pretty heavy but I never come home empty handed. The other day I hunted a very old and very small park and a guy came up to me and said people have hunted it hundreds of times and I wouldn't find a thing but before I left I had about a dollar in clad and a "44" merc dime.
I think Bounty hunter puts out a very good product for the money, my Land Star is light easy to use, it seems to have enough power because I've found things as deep as 14" but yet the batteries last forever, just went through my first set.

I have a bounty hunter sharpshooter II and a minelab x-terra 50 . I like both detectrors for differnt reasons bounty hunter is quicker at recovery and discriminates a little better ,but the minelab is more sensitive. I have found boat loads of coins with the bounty hunter , my two oldest coins were with it a 1910 and 1912 wheat penny. Two silver coins , buckles , 10 kt class ring which a got the plessure of returning and alot more things . I have had two bounty hunters and liked them both. I have never had a problem out of any of them. But to say which one is best I do not know as I have only used two bounty hunters. I think you will like one, just take time to learn it . They are not built as sturdy as some other detectors , but will find just as much as some other detectors. It never hurts to have a few detectors. Hope this helps a little.

ive got a 505 pro lots of good finds good depth found 1912 v nickle 1913 canadian silver quater 1917s mercury dime 1942 rosie quater and a48 dime many wheats 3gold rings including 10k 1946 class ring retuned also to son of deceased owner this detector is lite easy to use gets better with time spent understand its talk better also use small nuget coil in trash areas picks tru better just my thoughts dug 1948 rosie dime 9 inches down partly covered by a rock it was a weak signal but the feel was there so i dug 505 rules:please::bounty::twodetecting:

I have a Bounty Hunter Time Ranger. I like it alot.
The Time Ranger was the top dog a couple of years ago. I don't know which one is the top now.
