Bounty Hunter's rated temperature range:detecting:

:usmc: Received this reply to my outdoor operating temperature question I recently submitted to "Ask an Expert" found in the directory of the BH Web page. Looks like the BH detector is up to the cold, have fun boys and girls.

Robert,

There is no optimal temperature.

The searchcoil contains copper magnet wire which will expand and contract with changes in temperature. The electronic circuitry automatically compensates for this. Moisture is generally the enemy of good electrical conductivity, so some claim may be made that as the coil and case heat up in direct sunlight, there is less likelihood of false signals due to condensation. Otherwise, our detectors operate the same within their rated temperature range of approx 5 to 125 degrees.

If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us!
