Bounty Hunter Tracker IV Depth question

tonnia

New member
I have the bh tracker IV. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to tell how deep an object might be when you hear the tone go off. It has the needle guage but I am not sure how that works.
Any help would be great.
Thanks,
Tonnia

Forget about the needle, it's only a distraction. Take a choice of different metal items, rings, G/S, PT, coins etc. Hold the item above the coil, wave the coil normally and see how it goes. This is a reasonable way to test as the detector has to compensate for the ground conditions, and still detect the target. Your settings should be Sensitivity on 3 to 4 oclock, Toggle set to Tone disc, and set at the lowest possible setting. These are the best settings for finding jewelery, etc. You will dig more rubbish targets with these settings. However, the amount of LOOT recovered is worth it. HH regards Nugget.
