Hi all
I've just recieved an old Bounty Hunter TR-1000-D DISCRIMINATOR from a friend of mine. I have always wanted a detector since I was a kid and after all these yrs I have one :clapping: Now my question is this... What can I find with this and how would one go about setting it up? The only thing I notice that isn't working is the speaker but I have head phones. Any info would be appreciated Thanks Sully

that's a pretty old detector -- more of a collectors item now. It may not be working properly due to its age.

I suggest, if you are interested in the hobby, that you get a current or recent model detector to learn on.

But, for repairs or an owners manual for your old BH, see this web site:

Sully,Most of these non working used detectors have looose battery wires.Loosen a few screws and take the box apart and see if there is any loose wires
