Bounty Hunter surprises me just B4 my new MD arrives :surprised:

I've wouldn't have believed it a week ago but I just found My first Round Musket ball while coin shooting a new park
yesterday. The funny thing is lately I was getting very frustrated with my Bounty Hunter Sharp Shooter Ultra Mag
it's my 1st MD and I really do like it, but lately it has been getting on my nerves. Falsing on targets and disappearing signals etc...
So this past Friday I took the plunge and ordered a new AT Pro Spring Special from Big Boy Hobbies.
And now a few days before it arrives, I stop by a new spot that I always wanted to hunt, and I bring out my Sharp Shooter,
I thought "so what, I'll still have fun with it" until my ATP gets delivered.
I was about a hundred yards into the spot and by then I dug about 5 pull tabs and 4 bottle caps & 1 1980 Quarter
when i got a double signal so I dug a 7" hole and found yet another pull tab (not surprised) then I ran the the coil over the hole
just to be sure "like I usually do" and that was good that I did it because I found my first Musket Ball and it has a Flat on
one side so I'm sure it hit something.
Anyway I thought it was really cool and I wanted to share this one first with the Bounty Hunter Group
I've got some new renewed faith in this detector. call it luck or coincidence but I'm still happy with the find.

Falsing might be caused by having disc set up fairly high and reading some disced-out target on the outside edges of the coil. Once you center up as you look for it, the item is properly disced-out and disappears. Another is multiple targets where on some sweeps you get an accepted target (one that's above your disc setting) and on other sweeps there might be a junk target taking over and masking both signals.

Next time you get one of those, turn off the disc and see how it reads.

That miniball is a great find!

I have noticed both of those scenarios
And I do adjust my disc accordingly during
a session just to see how the signals come
through, i have to say that I use both my
10 inch and my 8 inch depending what I'm
Going after and my 10" won't separate
As well as my 8"

You can always carry it along as a back up. Great for introducing new people into MDing.
