Bounty Hunter PLATINUM????????

andy has a review on his site, other than his review , i havent heard anything, it will soon be released under the teknetics badge, dont know if there will be any changes, should get some reviews then. found it fisherF-75.com

Not sure if anyone here has taken the plunge and bought one of the Platinums yet....I would also like to see how it stands up against the F-75 or X-Terra series...I am waiting for the Titanium series to be released...Want to see how they compare....

Okay, here is a negative "review" from looking at the display on Andy's site:
1) Too much reliance on touchpads. One has to go through menus to access and adjust. Wasted detecting time.
2) 8 limited segments instead of 10 or 12. Pull tabs should be more distinct or bottlecaps should be indicated.
3) Depth: instead of stupid bars why not numbers?
4) The number of tones is limited to 4 yet you gotta select how many you want to hear! Why not 8 sounds, one for each segment?
5) No 1/2 dollar segment! Give me a break!
6) DISC, ALL METALS and PINPOINT! PINPOINT is NOT needed as long as you have ALL METALS!

I'll bet that after reading the above the younger set will mutter under their breath, or say it aloud to their monitor, "Go back to your grave, you old fart!"

Here is a view of old, wonderful analog technology: a TEKNETICS MARK I LTD.

i personall like to adjust how many tones, i run the t-2 which has this option, i like 2 tones, not so many sounds to process in your head, also you have to remember this has a faster processor in it, this is one reason im not really a fan of my xt-50 4 in disc and 4 in all metal, more tones are probaly favored by the coin hunter, menues are easy on the t-2 takes about 10 sec to set it up, and golden i think these are all built off the basic circuit of the old tek, personally i would like to try one, the only way to get my t-2 is in my cold dead hands
