can someone tell me what the difference these detectors. even when you go to the Bounty hunter website to compare it does not list the platinum model. is this a model maybe made for one store only???

by all reports this is an excellent machine ( platinum ) when it first came out one retail company bought the whole production run! so you cant run a comparison check on kelly co type in bounty hunter platinum metal detector on google and you will find a lot of info on this machine.

I own the Platinum and highly recommend it. Its an easy MD that works well. Like mentioned above, do a search and you will find some great reviews and hardly, if any negative.

Hi you all.

The Bounty Hunter Platinum is the first machine of a platform that later evolved to become the Teknetics Frat Brothers.

Though it has remained mostly under the radar, it is a really nice machine packed with lots of features you are not likely to find in a unit on its price range, like numerical and category target ID, ground grab system, modulated loudness and decent sensitivity, among others.

I am not sure I can share links here but check out the Platinum's manual on detecting.com/manuals.htm.

Most likely you will be surprised.

HH,
