I have a pioneer 505 and it seem this machine is really hard to learn but I am making great progress. Yesterday was on a totlot ( my favourite place to hunt and found a milor bracelet. It came up as a pull tab but I dug it any ways. Good day for me!!!

Yeah the 505 is finicky/chatty at times, took me a while to learn it but a great value machine. I unfortunately parted with mine, but this is a great find. Congrats!

I'm gonna use it until I find enough clad and junk silver to pay for another detector. But I just bought a garrett pin pointer to help improve my detector

Thanks so much

Once you fully learn what the tones are telling you, you will find many more great things :)
Congrats on the big silver.

Great find ! I use the QD2 and read that it is very similar to the 505 . I'm new so I know very little but I am sure interested in the Garrett pin pointer. I wonder if it's worth the cost ??

I just purchased a bounty hunter pin pointer thru amazon and got a great deal thru paypal for36.00 and works really well.helps me out alot.:goodnight:
