Bounty Hunter Cover

Road Gang

New member
I bought a Bounty Hunter Legacy 3300 a few weeks ago and have since been trying to find a rain cover for it. I also bought the Bounty Hunter carry bag which is a nylon zippered bag. The problem with the bag is that you have to break down the md of course and the electronics will get beat up against the bottom half of the unit (coil and pole). For now I wrap the electronics in a piece of cloth held in place with rubber bands. Has anyone found something better? Thanks!

Unfortunately no...I also wrap mine in an old towel when I put it away...The only other thing I can suggest is one of the bags you sometimes find on websites that sell detectors, or check with kellyco, and see if they have a generic bag that will fit the detector when fully assembled.

I use an elastic hair cap over my electronics while in the rain. Have your wife get you a box at the local beauty supply. I throw a couple of towels over the detector and drop it in my Navy 'sea bag'. If you hit the boating supply shop you can buy their version of the silica pack to help keep everything dry while in storage.
cost:
sea bag...1 tour US Navy
Hair bags...5.00
silica...less than 10.00
towels...FREE [Stolen from my wife]
I can not say how much keeping your detector safe is worth to you, but a few dollars to protect mine has been money well spent.
