Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro Select 220D

I'm running this vintage discriminating detector with : digital target I.D. and depth. 2" and 4" blanking, Etc. My question is....how does detector stack up to todays units. Do you feel this is still a competitive model or should I replace it? All opinions welcomed. Thanks, Ron.

If your Big Bud Pro is up to par it's very competitive with today's detectors, and better than most. The Big Bud's were designed by George Payne when Teknetics owned Bounty Hunter and all of the models they built before selling out to First Texas were very good. The blanker feature can be handy where there is a lot of shallow trash, but it can cause you to miss some good finds as it works off signal strength and discs out everything, including any diamond rings and gold or silver coins, that are within the blanked out range.
