Has anyone tried the 10" coil how much does it help with detection and pinpointing dig spot?

The 3300 gives ground balance which would aid somewhat in better depth by ignoring ground minerals. The expanded iron range is better if you are seeking iron in relics and artifacts, helping in differentiating between iron nails and iron horseshoes. And, the 3300 uses the cheaper 6.6 khz coils, which there are only a handful (no DD coil options). The 3300 also adds numeric ID that helps in IDing the difference between a nickel and a pull tab which a segment IDs all in one AND an all metal mode.

But for $50 more, you can have the Land Ranger Pro. A much bigger screen/numbers, auto ground grab, 7 different preset modes, 1 9V battery instead of 2, a 11" DD coil, faster recovery rate and a more state of the art process.

Both are good choices depending on what you want to invest. But I personally believe that the LRP is a better choice, performing like detectors twice it's price.

Dereck, Hightone is correct, the land ranger pro performs way beyond its price tag. For what it costs no other detector made by anyone even gets close to the lrp.

well I found a really great deal on a used Fisher F70 $425 Canadian keeping my 2200 as a spare for when friends or the kids want to come along.

Dont have one but the f70 seems to be as good as any detector can be. I use a t2 most of the time but when i can afford it im going to try a f70 and a f5. Good luck with that, on the fisher forum there are some guys that swere by the f70. I cant spell
