It wasn't pretty, in fact it was cold and muddy and down right raw out there. I don't blame Todd for not wantin to go detectin yesterday. I hit a new field that was just knocked down and I had high hopes for.. but nothin but a buckle popped out of there. So I decided to head to a field that Todd and I have worked a couple of times together. It is a old colonial field surrounded by houses from the 1700's. I wasn't expecting much, maybe a buckle or the very best a large cent, maybe a king george. I grabbed a lunch and then proceeded to slop thru the field of mud (brrr). 2 1/2 hrs and batteries are about to die so I am headin back to the jeep (and the heat!) and go figure, a hit... a good hit at about 6 inches. I roll the plug over and stab it with the probe, there it is, I see the edge of it. SWEET... I'm now dancin alone in a field lookin silly! Well you would to if you just dug a 1721 reale.!! I wish had a camera with me. Hopefully Todd will post my pics for us because I am clueless how to do it. Thanks for reading my post, I am pumped!
