BOUGHT THE ELDO TODAY

I have read the owners manual from cover to cover about 10 times, and plan on taking it out in the morning. I noticed on my air test that I couldn't discriminate out a zink penny no matter how much disc I used.
Also there is alot of electronis in my house the cieling fans, TV, it seemed to play havic with the threshold, it wobbled real bad in 2 of the 3 freq, and only slitely in the 1st, so that's where I keep it.
Any tips for the FNG (funny new guy)with the shiney new Eldorado? <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

Check the area over which you will ground balance the machine in discrimination mode first. I have an Eldorado and like it a lot, but when gbing in all metal it will read ANY metal as a legitimate target and drive you crazy trying to get a good ground balance. If you have problems getting the balance to be even as you raise and lower the coil performance will be just fine if the threshold hum rises slightly (goes positive) Also, the wobble you mention should clear up considerably when you are well away from any electrical interference and on my machine settles down more smoothly when set to a volume level a bit higher than I prefer for a background hum. Good luck and good hunting.
