Bought a Safari

Welcome Rod P...

Pullring has the right numbers. But beware...stinkin' Lincolns do too! (37-3:geek: The older ones pre1981. They will drive you mad. I think you will like it, there are some super people on this forum that are here to help. Do a search, if you can't find an answer, just post it. Be patient and make a test garden if you can.
By Andy's book on the Safari, that will help A LOT!!! http://sabischbooks.com/
Best of luck and HH,
Bunker

LEARN that silver tone and you will be able to tell the difference most of the time between silver and undesirables. Now if you have plenty of time dig all high tones and you will learn what the Safari is telling your ears. I also have an E-Trac and it is a great machine but as far as depth the Safari can play with anybody. HH :minelab:

Do some audio testing with a nickle and a dime and run it 0-40 accept disc. for real nice depth...I personally have these two tones engrained in my head from my old Explorer days and either will stop me in my tracks. On a rainy day spend some time running both across the coil until you have them engrained also and its full pouch time in the field...
