Bought A DeLeon!

Smudge

New member
I have owned several detectors over the past few years, and keep selling them and coming back to Tesoro's.

For the last few months, I have used the Compadre exclusively. Its an amazing little tone machine. :jump:

But I wanted to give a TID detector a chance, just to see how they fare. Well, I bought another company's TID machine and ended up hating it very quickly for reasons I won't drag out here.

Traded it in today for a DeLeon. Loved the way it tested in the coin garden and the balance of it in my hands. Been doing some air tests too. And I know from past posts here it's good at finding jewelery as well as coins.

I also bought the 5.75" coil to go with it, since I hunt some pretty trashy areas.

Anyway, I guess I'm a new lifetime member of the Tesoro fan club. I just love their detectors.

The only ones I still want to get is the Sand Shark for wet sand/surf, and either the Tejon or the Silver uMax with the 12x10 coil for deep hunting.

That will complete my arsenal pretty nicely I think.

Sorry for running on. I'm really looking forward to my future hunts.

Congratulations on getting the DeLeon as a long time user I know it will live up to its reputation of finding the good stuff! Over the years I have considered upgrading but it has been 7 yrs since I bought the D and have yet to wonder if I am missing something I know if it is out there the DeLeon will find it. My best advice to you is use it and use it often it won't let you down! GOOD LUCK

Thanks phinbolt.

Your posts are what finally convinced me to take the plunge.

Delon is an excellent choice and if you want a deep seeker, I cannot recommend the Tejon enough! Have fun with your new detector.

Mine has done well for me. When using the 5.75 coil, be sure to slow your swing down. It's very easy to swing well past the target if you swing too quickly. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the performance of the smaller coil.
