Botton Help?

Looks like maybe an early 19th century civilian dress button. The geometric pattern is a type of what's known as "Greek key," a design that's been around for centuries. I've added a link to a pic of a "Greek key" border for comparison.

Thanks Buckram, Any Idea about the size of the button, It's an inch and a half in Dia. About the size of a 50 cent piece?????
 
Large coat size. Fairly common size for late 18th and early 19th century buttons. "Civilian dress" is just a term used to distinguish it from a military, livery, or other uniform button... not a reference to dresses.
