Bottle

Storm

New member
I found a rounded bottom bottle when I was scuba diving, its aqua green and has 6 point star on the side and below the star is the word BRO[sup]S[/sup]

Please help me if you can thanks

The ones I have seen have a five pointed star and the bottles have an indented base.

Like this one:

Star Brothers Soda

Yours may be an earlier bottle if it has a round bottom.

Please post a picture of it if you are able.

Nice find.

Very cool bottle, my dream is to dive for bottles one day. Did you find it in fresh or salt water? What part of the country? Maybe it a Jewish soda works with the star of Daivid.

Well the proper name for that bottle is "Torpedo Soda" and they were made that way so the cork closure would not dry out in storage. it probably held mineral water or some thing like Sasparilla. I have found a lot of "Star" sodas with differebt CO names on them, it was a pouplar name in those days.

Macaco, Your 'Star' looks like it has an "Iron Pontil", i have dug many different named iron pontiled soodas like that in New Orleans in the '70s. It is a very good find.
