Bottle found underwater detecting this summer

I was detecting one of my favorite inland lakes in Michigan and saw this bottle just resting on the rocks in about 10' of water. I knew it was old but knew nothing else about it. It is a Calnon and Crunk Mineral Water Detroit Michigan. On the back it says Bottles Returned.

I posted it in this forum under another title because someone asked if anybody ever found bottles while detecting. After an offer of 150.00 for it I decided to do some investigating. I was given a name of a person that was the president of a Michigan bottle club that is no longer.

He told me that he has a broken one in ins collection and that only 3 other whole specimens are know to be intact. I showed it to him in person last week because he is in Detroit and I don't get their much. He said it was made around 1852!!!

Well we talked for a long time and I saw his extensive bottle collection. After he offered me 450.00 for it I decided it needed a good home. I have a few bottles that I bring up but I am more interested in the GOLD!!!!!!

Anyway, You underwater hunters, keep your eyes pealed!! You just never know what you might discover!!!
