Yesterday i returned to the site where i found a pre-war navy button and eagle D button. I got a faint reading with my Nautilus and after digging about 2 ft deep i started uncovering mason jar lids , then shards of glass and charred wood. I founds lots of pieces of stopper top bottles, lots of brown , blue , green and clear glass with bubbles in it. I only found one bottle intact and several pieces of some sort of candy dish made of carnival galss. I saved the pieces of the candy dish and will attempt to super glue it back together. I also found a leather boot that fell apart as i removed it from the hole. A relic hunter stopped by the field when he saw me digging and said he had hunted that area hard and found some SC buttons, lots of Axe heads and was wearing a Navy ring he had found there. I also found 1 fired 3 ringer and a few brass rivets there yesterday.
