Found this while I was out detecting here in Germany.Have not found any info on it.

The bottle is 4 inches tall and on the very bottom of the bottle there is an A. I spotted it in a wash out on a big hill side.Any info would be great!;)

Hi Birdman,
It's hard to say as we're going by something made in Germany, compared to England or Australia. But my guess is it could be an oil, vinegar or lotion bottle, going by the pour spout. Also the letter 'A' could denote an age of mid 1840's to 1870's. The letter 'A' may denote the month of December also. But I'm going by the English and Australian coding. Clear glass bottles often date earlier than tinted ones, as the experimentation with colour came about sometime later. There's also an irregularity in the inside base, which is common to older bottles. I believe the bottle wouldv'e had a label above the word also. And from the pic, the lip was added on separately, also showing it to be aged. Hope I've helped.
Cheers Angela
