Bottle Caps

SVTCOBRA

New member
Have only had my AT Pro for 2 months now. Have found a silver charm and few coins ranging from Penny's, Dimes, Quarters and Loonies.
But I would like to tune out bottle caps, as I'm going to work a local Rodeo grounds parking and camping area.
Any ideas. as these things give the near same tone and strength indication.
Regards

All I can say is most bottlecaps give a bahbloop sound till you narrow the swing on them. Now Ole English screwcaps....I HATES EM TO PIECES! how dare they ring up such a sweet sounding 85.....bah:veryangry:

Get the Sniper coil or the 6 x 9 to work that rodeo ground with. The stock DD coil and the 5 x 8 DD is what loves those bottlecaps, not the ATP.

They ID bottle caps much better as such. Don't forget to use the iron audio feature to help.

Have had my ATG for two days and found my favorite hunting mode! All metal mode - turn on iron audio set iron disc to about 35 then shut off iron audio - now go hunt. When I find a target of question switch on iron audio if I get grunt grunt then I know I can move on.

There is an iron audio trick you can use on Garrett's video site. Steve Moore shows it. GREAT video!

Remember small targets can imitate iron so it's a good idea to dig any iffy ones until you get comfortable. Of course the bottlecaps and nails are no match for the iron audio.

Another thing to remember is that the 9x12 concentric coil "hears" the bottlecaps better than the 8.5x11 or other coils. I have highly mineralized soil here (lowest GB was 78, ever!, most common GB 90+) so it doesn't always get the depth of the DD coil, but I hunted with it today and only pulled up three bottlecap signals out of about 12!

Those three I heard properly, but I dug them anyhow because they were shallow to see if there were deeper targets there.

This may sound silly but you already know that English is not my language and I have a problem of understanding.
You guys are talking about pick up / collect bottle caps? You can see a picture of one of them?
For me it is rare, I find bottle caps go to the recycling bin...
thank you very much
