My original intent was to detect the demolition of an old house. While waiting for the track hoe to complete the job I was just watching and as the old foundation was removed a nest of bottles fell out, So being the pack Rat I am I recovered them. WOW! They are old.. mid to late 1800 soda bottles all from different towns around my area in SW Iowa. I was able to salvage 12 of the Blob Tops but witnessed many others get covered up. Too Bad, So Sad! Any way here is a picture.

Nice find....that's a shame the others got covered up - how'd that happen? Wouldn't they stop for you to recover the remainder...so sad to see history like that get obliterated!
 
It was getting late last night and they were in a hurry to get done. So I need to go find the spot wjere they dumped the dirt. Maybe come up with a few more. :drinking:
