Been using both the Minelab waterproof Koss & GrayGhost headset, maybe its my hearing but both really sound good a happy camper for sure with either set.
The only problem to have encountered and this can happen with any headset under extreme heat conditions, if a CTX user places the earcups over the CTX housing the Minelab emblem may melt leaving it's print on the earcup pads.
It must have happened on a trip back from the ocean, after dropping off three friends tossed the CTX and gear in the back seat and there the detector stayed until the next day. I guess with the combination of the sun, windows closed and headset earcups pressed against the emblem the paint melted onto the earcups.
Considering the amount of paint melting off, can't really tell both portions of the emblem still look good.
Anyway, avoid placing any headset with the cups pressed against both sides of the housing.
Getting back to the waterproof Koss and GrayGhost, both are excellent headsets.
