Hunted a classic, picture perfect abandoned farm house today. The grass was at least 8 to 10 inches tall. I watched my digging buddy hunting and digging and really wished I had a camera. It looked like something out of a treasure magazine. Unfortunately, we found more junk than anything but I did get a great signal behind the house. I cut a big plug back in the tall grass and seemed to dig forever. The pinpointer kept saying I was on the right track but this baby was deep. When it finally flipped up in the hole I knew by the size and the great green color it was a two cent piece. It turned out to be one of the best I have ever dug but somebody holed it a long time ago. Glad to make the recovery and planning to go back in the winter when the grass is easier to work around.
