I understand that Andy Sabisch has a book out about the XS and S. But does he have one out on the Explorer 11? Wouldn't it be a little different as it has some things the other ones don't. Maybe not a great difference, but some. So wouldn't the programs for the XS and S be somewhat different than for the EX2? I know he has some great books, he is really into detectors.

There is very little difference between the machines. The EX2 has two reading for Digital and the Microprocessor is a little faster. The look a little different but his book is great and well worth the money. I use it often to brush up on the EX or to compare to other material I read.

Adding to Cody's differences I believe the threshold can be set more accurately and has some cosmetic differences, mainly a new front pole and and armrest and setup. Basically the same machine.Surely Andy's book is a good addendum to the manual and in many cases is written in more laymans terms. Certainly not enough changes to warrant a complete new book. In other words if you own the 11 model Andy's book will work just fine to help you learn the unit.Any of Andy's books are a good read as he has written for other units also.
