Boo YA First Silver and wheats!

Went out with my father-in-law this afternoon to an old abandoned house. Hunted what was once the front lawn (I think) and nailed my first ever silver coin. It's a 1926 mercury dime. It was so awesome to finally feel silver between my fingers! I've only been detecting for 2 1/2 months now and other than a few previous wheaties I was the king of clad and tabs. After the silver I pulled four wheats from the ground all 1920 or earlier. I'm going to head back out there tomorrow afternoon and work around the rest of the house. I'll try and post a pic later.

Fantastic! Congratulations on your first silver. Aren't those Mercs pretty?! Hey, it there's that many wheat cents, I bet there's more older coins to come. Yes, by all means let us know what you find when you go back. That yard could keep on producing over and over again. HH, Nancy
