Went for a hunt today out of town with my buddy Scott. Nice day for a hunt and even came home with my first Newfoundland Penny, dated 1942. I also found ring #23. The ring was in pretty rough shape when I got it. After I did a little repair work, it come out looking a lot better. It looks like it was gold plated at one time. No silver coins for me today....but Scott got a nice silver quarter.

Here is a pic of a religious medallion I dug up, which has seen better days. The Newfoundland Penny needs a bath in Hydrogen Peroxide for at least 24 hours to clean it up. At the bottom is that ring after I did a little magic to it.
