Bobbie and the J-man Sunday's Adventure............and met a visitor from the sea:cam:

We left our home in Connecticut on a road trip to Rhode Island to do some beach hunting. It was sunny with a slight breeze, by the time we got to our farthest destination the wind was howling and it was COLD.

Our first stop was Scarborough State Beach, the sand had been riped off leaving hard pan and stones to dig through. We met 2 relic diggers with their little trowels trying to dig and recover treasures. After a short while we all decided to abandon efforts due to the wind and coldness.

We moved on to 3 other beaches, 2 of which were very windy and then finally stopping at Westerly Town Beach, RI to do some detecting, this is where we met the visitor from the sea.

Here's a stroll down Rhodie Island State Beaches.

It was one of my favorites, It was during a time when there was a BUNCH if westerns on TV, The Rifleman, Sugar Foot, Bronco, Wanted Dead or Alive, Paladin, Bonanza, Gun Smoke, Branded and on and on. They were all pretty good.

I think this was the only part that Richard Boone was cast as the good guy

He was related to Pat Boone and Daniel Boone.

I watched every one and I can tell you Clint was a great guy--met him in Las Vegas way back whwn Vern was Young and Elson was already Old

They are born in early February and are weaned by 5 weeks when they weigh about 40 lbs, which was the case for this little guy. Adults usually weigh about 300 lbs. They often come up on beaches or rocks just to rest and then return to the sea. He was healthy looking, plump, bright eyes, able to move easily, coat was nice and when he opened his mouth, his gums were pink and he did not seem to be in any type of distress other than being tired.
