From the land of the Bluenose...well I must have brought back all the great weather with me as today was a scorcher. Last day of vacation so Marie (aka Sieve Queen) loaded up the beastly Goquickski and headed out to a lake that is a pleasant 40 minute drive from home. Traffic was heavy as was Neil Diamond on the cassette deck.
Arriving at the lake Marie perched under a shady tree but was quickly crowded by a gentleman who seemed more interested in watching her then the panoramic scenery offered by the lake and it's surrounding wooded area. Marie wasn't long coming into the water and quickly took over the swishing duties as I was relegated to retrieval duties. Wasn't long before she had her first 5 targets....3 loonies and 2 twonies.....sure put this bouy in his place and after just 3 laps of the lake lengthwise I resumed control of water baby (Seahunter Mark ll) but not before moving our towels and goodies a tad further into the shade of the tree and away from our "neighbour." Can't say I blame the bouy for practising his observation powers.
Another hour in the water and a few more coins and it was time to hit the road and stop at the Big Stop for a scoff of grub which was great as per normal.
End result for the day was a mere 20 coins totalling $13.67 with Marie showing once again....that behind every good man is a woman waiting to get ahead!
