From the land of the Bluenose.....after geting up early and driving Maire to work, doing the dishes, visiting the RCMP station, going to Dads to drop off birthday card, some banking, returning dvd to the video shop, hitting Canadian Tire for bulb replacements for Goquickski, dropping a cops video off to Colleen at work, picking up lottery tickets for tonights draw, donating the gold for our coaches ring at National Jeweler(retiring after 25 years), Tim's for a coffee and a can of coffee I was free to go a digging.

Tried an old park on the Bedford Highway that netted an ornate key similar to one that I had found last year while hunting with the Bardman. Very hard to detect here with all the thickets and their prickles tearing at your flesh so after finding the key and one penny I headed out but not before taking in the view.

From there it was off to a playing field where the first find was a soft blue ball. Well being slight of mind I started kicking it and where it landed I'd detect to. Losing it here me bouy big time. This worked well and in no time I had a bundle of coins and a few modern keys. Tiring of this (added by the arrival of two dogs not on leashes) I vacated this place and finished the dig at a small lake side park where I swish in the summer.

Anyway end result for the day was three keys , a blue ball (not from the cold mind you), a tee and 55 coins @ $4.06

Now home have three loads of laundry on and taping General Hospital for Marie. Hope I have enough left in me for my hockey game tonight!

Good looking load of loot, Leslie!! (that's a lot of "L's") I guess we never outgrow the kid inside. See ball, kick ball, chase ball, kick ball....

Another winner, Les. I see I am not the only one who has plenty to do!
I like the idea of the ball, actually. I used to do that for exercise: kick ball, run to the ball and repeat - all over the field.

I think Ill pull out one of the innumerable golf balls I find and do the same:
Kick ball, detect to ball, kick ball, detect to ball...

By the way, I thing the ornate key is a clock winding key.

Bodacious bag of booty for a busy Bluenose, Les.
50 coin day - - sheesh!
