Block IRON? Is it possible?

:surrender: Help me here folks, please. (1)Is there a way to block iron (or at least the small iron like nails, small fence, barbed wire, etc) but still be able to pick up LARGE iron like shell fragments, etc when hunting in a known civil war battle area? I have been playing with MAGIC'S PROGRAM, RELIC MODE, and a variant of MIXED MODE, but have only had this machine since October and am still learning a bunch. I could really use some help here.

(2)Also, how can I remove the noise every 3-5 seconds or so when i am hunting around electric fences?

(3)Is there a settings (programs) area of THIS website or forum where it gives different settings to use for specialized hunting (say in a civil war battle area) where coins, buttons, and bullets, etc are wanted to be found?

Please help me here.
Thank you,
bubbadirect

Electric fences are bad and difficult to get close to. To help eliminate EMI from the fence:

EMI
1)Switch to a band pass filter as the band pass filters will filter out more noise than the high pass filters
2) Try different frequency offsets
3) Try the various single frequencies
4) Lower disc sensitivity
5) Try correlate mode rather than best data (if in 3 frequency mode).
6) Switching to Salt Compensate helps with EMI if you want to work in 3F mode.
7) Change coils (concentric)
:geek: Try wired

We don't have a separate section for programs.

For the small ferrous get some samples and reject or set to zero the ferrous VDI until the samples are just rejected. You can tell if a piece of iron is large or small using the pinpoint mode.
