If you don't dig anything else that one block just below nickle is high foil and contains many thin womens gold rings some with nice stones...expect foil trash or can slaw but one nice ring makes up for a whole lot of coins...and yes Garretts like gold rings...and those that investigate find them...

Yes indeed, I dig all signals that hit one segment below nickle.
I absolutely dig everyone one of those targets no matter what.
Last year I more than paid for my detector while still on my
first set of batteries by digging signals just like that on a soccer field.
This was a place where it looked like they must have had a contest
to see who could wear the most gold. Not all of it went home with
them though, I know for a fact. Good advice Dan. Good hunting to you !.

I've been recording what I've been finding for some time now and here's what I've gotten with my ACE 250. Hope the pix comes out okay. Most of my finds have been 3" or less. All the jewelry has been a SURPRISE! The darker lines are where the target hit the most. The lighter lines are where it "bounces" to. This is for California soils and some New Mexico soils. I keep 1. camping gear 2. fishing gear and 3. metal detector in my van all the time. If I'm passing water I always wonder if there's fish in it. If I'm passing parks or old properties....well....you know how it goes!
