Went to York Me. Thursday and Saturday, Saturday was the worst of the two hot days. Found $4.46 in Chump change. One jack knife,2-2oz. weights, a clump of 3 keys covered with whatever, and a class ring or a sports ring from 1982...not sure what it is made of? It has no markings but initals and I guess company that made it...looks to be good metal...no corrosion. Gold or Platnum? It comes from Hudson N.H......THE HAWKS!!!!! BIG DEAL! It has a basketball guy on it and says basketball. This is my first class ring so am not sure how to find owner but I certainly will give it a shot! In the booty is also a 1955 wheat...nope no double stamp but it is a mint mark "S"..which is unusual for here...I rarely see mint mark "S" around here. also a 1968 "S" Nickel. and a 1951 wheat...I never find old coins at the beach...lol and yes a wheat is an old coin to me at the beach. My camera sucks so I used a cheap magnify glass to get a close up......cool! It worked!...So Little time so many pennys to dig...:detecting: I hate pennys!!!!!

I guess ring is from Hudson High in Mass. not N.H....couldn't find a hudson high in nh..but mass has one and they have a team called the Hawk's...searching is on! :throw: but it ain't easy!

Hey, mattockman, your class ring is most likely 10kt gold, or possibly 14kt. Most of the class rings I have found have been 10kt.

Yeah for sure it is gold or something that isn't effected by the salt and iron at the beaches. It is very clean, but that really doesn't matter to me cause it is useless to anyone but the owner. Have hardtime finding anything on class of 82, from Hudson MA.I did e-mail school but I suppose they won't answer till start of next shool season.OBTY Was that mintmark remark to Mike about me? Why I oughta! LOL...:starwars: I was just bored.... :b
