yep that place that's been pounded, beaten and left for dead...…. This evening I get a nice high tone and TID is fluttering back and forth between 28-33. Pinpoint and out pops my first 1856 seated half dime!!
Dime was approximately 4" deep.
Merc dime - 3" deep.
Sterling silver ring was approximately 5" deep

Equinox 800 settings: Park1, 50 tones, 0-iron Bias, Recovery Speed - 4, sensitivity - 23, "all-metal" mode and scanned BBS / FBS slow.

Congrats Jim!!!!! I've only found 1 and on the role you have been on I'm sure you will add a few more to your collection :) Took Thursday and Friday off gonna try to get a few new permissions and see how I can do..... Great Finds My Friend!!!!!

Good job! The half dime might have been used as a button. It’s been altered on both sides. Maybe had a loop on the back?

When man and machine become one... that’s awesome man.. I’ve never dug a half dime yet... I like the ring too.... standard or 6” coil?

BHPA I was using the stock 11” coil.

Nice finds Jim!!!!
Hard to tell what else you will find by the results you are having lately.
I may have the buy more coin books too keep up with you!!
Looking forward to your next surprise find!!

Keep them coming, this is fantastic stuff we're seeing right here. Really the stuff your finding isn't that deep, it must be that 800 is able to separate the targets better than other machines.

Nice finds Jim I’m still looking for a seated half dime!
Mark

Thank you. I didn't realize how small they are. The way you are on fire, yours should be coming very soon.
