:blink:F75 NYC park settings

Hey all,
If you went to a hevely used city park that lets say has 10-30 targets "mostly capps, tabbs etc" in a 12x12 space. How would you setup your 75 to handle it? Imagine useing your 75 where a consesion stad was for 30 years but the whole park is like that. What settings and heavy notching would you go with? I have goten a few hours with the 75. I have found some decent finds with it at my local park. If i continue to park hunt just for fun i may need to use the smaller coil i know this would help. Thoughts and ideas?

EZ:

Have a couple of parks like that around here. I use JE, 1F tone, Sens high as stable, Disc. 0, Notch OUT low iron (1-7), high iron (8-15), High nickel (31-35), low tab (36-45), high tab (46-55), low zinc (56-60) and high zinc (61-65). Small coil would be OK but the large coil will do just fine. Would use Tone 2F but with iron notched OUT you only hear one 1 tone anyway.

Having low and high foil along with low nickel active (detected) will help you get those smaller gold rings, nickels, etc. Upper notched OUT areas will help eliminate some of the trash.

Hey Ron thanks for the post. I have a very big park "3 times the size of Central park". With setting it up this way will allow me to work an area an then "notch in" to rework it.

EZ sounds like you have a great place to hunt..let us know how it goes..

For that kind of hunting, the small coil is almost a must. Mine has already paid for itself just since Dec. Personally, I don't use notch. I listen for the high tones in tone setting 3H and strive to get an accurate pinpoint. I do check vdi readings, but on deeper targets rely more so on their sound. HH jim tn
