Bleachers

Is anyone out there successful at detecting under bleachers? My local park (fairly new) has bleachers that appear to be constructed out of angle iron, & I can't get within 2 feet plus without the explorer sounding off like mozart, in high silver/iron major! I'm currently using the sunray 8" coil, with settings autosen 22, gain 7, normal response & fast recovery. Just learning the explorer (found lots of clad & a large mens gold band away from bleachers!), & hope to "see" whats under those bleachers! Any help greatly appreciated!

Your best bet will be to turn your sense down and use a smaller coil, preferably the SunRay 5 incher. The biggest problem is not so much the iron suports in the ground but all of the iron that is above the coil. The double "D" coils detects as well upwards as it does downwards. But with a smaller coil and a sense of around 5-10 you should be able to get under the bleachers pretty good. Good luck!
