Blackinton Ster silver archery medal

Well-known member
Went back to the park where I found my two seated dimes. On this hunt, I detected an area that wasn't part of the original park. Thought it was a silver quarter at first but as you can see, a vintage Blackinton Sterling silver Archery medal has come to light. One thing I really enjoy about the AT Pro is how light this detector is. Now I know how Mud can swing this sucker like a scythe

Very nice find! :clapping:

Thats beautiful! :please: I would consider it a monstrous trophy, as well you should! :please: I dont say this lightly, but You gotta break down and get a Pro of your own, sell your dog if need be..its already July, big gold season is fixing to start...sooner or later, your friend is gonna want that Pro back!...:sadwalk: unless He's a VERY good friend, and you helped him hide a body sometime, which is what super good friends do....hide bodies, move full chest freezers up three flights of stairs, and loan out their Pro!.. You should get your own before he calls you into duty regarding same...

:rofl: Oh my stomach is still hurting from laughing. I know I had mentioned it in another post - this is my dad's AT Pro. He is up there in age and he dreams more about detecting than actually doing so. I told him I would put it to good use. After showing him the seated and mercury dimes I found in the last week, he drools even more but he really wants to just tinker at the beach with it. The nearest beach is an hour away so he may use it twice a year and that is stretching it. Although, he hasn't asked...he may still want me to move full chest freezers up three flights of stairs lol.

It is a nice trophy as it is the last thing I ever expected to find at this place. Then again, that is why I go by the forum name "earthlypotluck" As I never know what Mother Earth is going to give up.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

That is a trophy find, for sure. Really neat medallion. Wonder what you would find if you owned an A T yourself? HH jim tn

You know Jim, I actually thought about that question. My answer: not much. Seems as if I borrow, I make some great finds (to me anyways). I go and purchase one...probably won't find much. Isn't that like Murphy's Law? lol
