Got my Black Widows the day before Thanksgiving, If you dont have a set You need to get them, they are Awesome, clear and crisp as can be, I love them.
 
Phones are a personal thing. You like them and others will hate them. Now you will have people telling you which ones they like best. Several are even made by the same manufacturer, Hmm. Use what works for you, there are no best ones for everyone.
 
My best ones are the the factory cordless,Then I Love the sound of my hopped up Rats. Yazoo
 
I have used Black Widows for several years now. I honestly can't say they are the best but I have hearing problems and the sound deadening, deep ear cups really help a lot by keeping the ambient noise out. I find my ears don't get sore with them too. I agree with Rob... everybody is different. Ten people will give you ten different answers... whatever works for you is ultimately the best!!!
 
I have used the Grey Ghost originals for several years now. I have been thinking about the Black Widows lately. My Grey Ghost are getting a little worse for ware. They have been a fantastic set of headphones. Is there a big difference in sound given that they are from the same manufacture? I will be using them on the V3 and E-Trac. Any observations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Jack - I can't add much info on them as I only have used the maroon ones Whites gives you and the Black Widows. That is why I won't say they are the best... I really like them and when these go south, I will buy another set hands down. Some folks have some issues with the weight of these phones. I have not. I've hunted all day until my arms ached (8+ hrs) and didn't have sore ears or neck. Good luck!
