Bite the bullet :O

Two of my favorite "personal" Civil War finds from Diggin' in Virginia 6 were these 2 pieces of lead found with the T2.
This piece of lead shows definate human teeth marks. Where the saying "Bite the bullet" came from. (Don't tell me that's not true and animals chewed 'em all, which is what people say everytime I post these).
The other piece is a small slice of a minie ball carved by a soldier. I love how you can see the rings still....
The T2 did real well in Virginia, so I can't wait to see what the F75 is like.....An improved T2 would be perfect for me :super:
HH,

More's likely he was chewing that lead on account of lead poisoning from the intersection of one or more of those cool trophy .58 caliber bullets with his personal anatomy somewhere. Biting down on lead or maybe a stick was said to be something to do for entertainment while the medicos probed wound channels or sawed your leg off without anesthetic.
