Lord have mercy, you guys sure know your birds!
Here is the first bird I got with the camera today.
Female Cardinal! Ma Betty wins! :)

Next was this Blue Jay. The pics would be better, but there is a blizzard outside and these are through a window.

Here is a Mourning Dove and a Sparrow. Most of these are in the big feeder near my window.

Here is a lone Sparrow fluffed up in the cold.

Here are male and female Cardinals, notice the female is just taking flight!

Here are several Gold Finches on my thistle feeders. Notice the one that has just dropped heading toward the ground.

I like to feed the birds and watch them outside my computer room window. I have 11 feeders, and today I got more pics than showed here.
They eat plenty extra in this weather! Hope you liked the pics! :)

May God bless all of you,

pack up and leave the state for warmer climates during the winter. We know spring is near when we see our first robin. How the robin ever got to be the state bird is beyond me. Would have thought they'd have chosen a 'resident' of the state - not one of them 'snow birds' that head south when it gets cold.

A chicadee would have been my choice for a state bird. At least they stick around through the winter.
