I know that many of you here on the forum were acquainted with Bill Carter who was a long-time devoted student, collector, and master detectorist when it came to civil war bullets.
Bill passed away quietly this morning, September 19, 2006 at about 4:00 a.m.
I really don't know what to say, other than Bill was my best friend, and a true friend to many others in this life. Always generous to a fault, and willing to do anything physically possible to help others. Even during his declining years, and with all of the numerous health issues that he faced on a daily basis, he was always there to talk, always willing to give a supporting hand or fatherly advice to anyone in need. But most of all, first and foremost, he was a friend........the kind of friend that is gone all too soon and missed more than you can imagine.
I Love You and Miss You Bill...........
