Bill ,Question on the F75, When operating in the All Metal Mode

are the ID Numbers staying pretty accurate and steady at good depths,I have a brand X detector that bounces numbers all over the place.I Know it can't be perfect, but least in a 5 number window.Just wondering how the F75 was doing on that. Thanks In advance,

and deserves to not get buried as I have the same one also.

I had asked Dave J in an email some time back about what the F-75 will do with fringe depth targets as far as ID. He could not answer at that time due to confidentiality. My question was would it default to the highest number on the screeen, read as iron, or give no TID response when unable to ID with any confidence. Now that I see that there is a confidence meter but it still leaves some questions open.

Does the confidence meter work in all metal?

From what little I have seen, it ID's as well in all metal as in discrimination. Your asking a bit more than what's available at the present time as far as deep target ID is concerned. I'm sure some will take this as not reporting a field test properly, but the ground here is quite frozen down a few feet. It's real tough digging them deep ones. :)

Does the confidence meter work in all metal, Yes, along with the depth gauge.

Now if it stays as warm as it was today for a few more days, I'm sure Bill Ladd will give us a better report. My units for stock are due in first part of the week, I'll be sure to double check these items.

Have a nice day.

The weather and the limited time he has with the F75.Look forward in seeing the Field Test Reports.
Thanks
